Open 11am to 4pm the last Friday in April and every Friday in May, June, July and September. Closed in August.
Teas served all day. Range of unusual plants for sale.
Admission £3 for adults and children under 16 free.
One or two Sundays are usually included at different times of the year.
Sunday 18th May 2008 2-5pm for Farleigh Hospice - Adults £3, children Free
Sunday 8th June 2008 11am-5pm with the Wickham Bishops Open Gardens Day - Adults £4 for over 10 gardens
Sunday 13th July 2-5pm for British Red Cross, Adults £3, children free

Open for various charities including:-
National Gardens Scheme, British Red Cross and Farleigh Hospice.

Groups (minimum 10 people) are welcome on any day/evening, by appointment.
Any type of group is most welcome; Art groups, horticultural groups, U3A, bird watching, wine tasting, garden society or just a group of friends.

Garden Features

  • 2 acre walled garden dating from 1706
  • Huge roses, climbers and 5 massive wisterias cascade from the walls, one covers the whole 250' long wall
  • Shrubs, perennials and bulbs, many unusual, ensure year round colour
  • Outside the walled garden an intricate knot garden surrounds the folly
Long Wisteria
  • Renowned for this Wisteria 'sinensis' at 252' long, now one of the longest in the country
  • The gardens have very few steps. Only one corner of the walled garden is not accessible by wheelchairs
  • Over 70 species of birds have been recorded in the gardens and woodland

Cyclamen
  • 12 acres of woodland walks with varied rabbit resistant planting
  • Late winter snowdrops emerge through autumn cyclamen leaves, followed by primroses, leucojum and daffodils
  • In May, carpets of bluebells are punctuated by uncurling ferns
  • Summer tranquility drifts through to the highlight of massed cyclamen and colchicum in September
